“Places for birth” collects a wide range of activities for vulnerable families, with special attention to the event of birth. It is carried out in Naples, and concentrates on the places where children – but also their mothers and families – are born. Among these places, we do not include only hospitals and clinics, but all the places where families can accomplish their route to birth and parenthood.
The project aims at offering parents safe places for each step of the route throughout pregnancy, up to birth and in the first years of children’s life. These places include Pianoterra’s premises, but also a wider network of local services, to which we direct and accompany the most vulnerable families.
The project is funded by Waldensian Churches through their “8×1000” campaign.
