The second edition of The Milky Way project will be held in Rome, on November 21st and 22nd, 2015. The Milky Way 2, promoted by Pianoterra Foundation and curated by Damiana Leoni, will be hosted by the art gallery Studio SALES di Norberto Ruggeri. The initiative will support Pianoterra’s program 1000 Days in Rome.
Thirty-one contemporary artists will be on the front line to support 1000 Days with their artworks: Charles Avery, Angelo Bellobono, Alessandro Cicoria, Mat Collishaw, Stanislao Di Giugno, Ra di Martino, Goldschmied & Chiari, Flavio Favelli, Norma Jeane, Tobias Kaspar, William Kentridge, Michaela Langenstein, Emiliano Maggi, Domenico Mangano, Doris Maninger, Davide Monaldi, Olaf Nicolai, Grear Patterson, Nicola Pecoraro, Alessandro Piangiamore, Giuseppe Pietroniro, Gianni Politi, Marco Raparelli, Max Renkel, Sterling Ruby, Pietro Ruffo, Andrea Salvino, Lorenzo Scotto di Luzio, Giuseppe Stampone, Mari Sunna, Gian Maria Tosatti.
The Milky Way 2 is a contemporary art project: artists more than others build original perspectives on reality and on possible worlds and can offer answers to questions often unanswerable. The Milky Way 2 is also a broadly inclusive project: all those who believe that culture means above all participation and can be development and cohesion factor will have the opportunity of supporting the program 1000 Days in Rome.
