Pianoterra Foundation

Culture as a force for good

Pianoterra Foundation was established in Rome in 2013 to tackle poverty, social isolation, and inequality through projects that use culture as a tool for stimulating personal and social growth. Serving disadvantaged mothers and children, teenagers, and young adults, our projects aim to nurture individual resilience and creativity, and to foster the spirit of collaboration.

Our foundation carries out this mission in several ways. We initiate projects of our own. We help promote projects initiated by other parties. And we partner with organizations in Italy and abroad – such as schools, social service agencies, hospitals, and prisons – to build networks and create synergies that multiply our efforts.

We are extremely gratified by the results of the projects featured below, and are now exploring ways of expanding our work.
